Course Description

Presenter: Prue Eddie

This webinar focuses on patients with inflammation, infection and chronic illness.

Prue Eddie will discuss the lymphatic system in relation to specific patient cases from her practice.  The webinar will centre on clinical relevance, identification of contraindications and useable   information including technique demonstrations. A review of the current evidence base including lymphatic pump techniques, manual lymphatic drainage and potential spread of infection and cancer will be covered.  

About the Speaker:

Prue Eddie is in private practice in the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.  After graduating from RMIT University in 2007, she worked in Auckland, NZ for a couple of years, and was a Peer Group Leader for the Osteopathic Society of New Zealand. 

On return to Melbourne,  she completed a Graduate Certificate in Neonatal and Paediatric Manual Therapy from Victoria University in 2012 and has a varied adult and paediatric practice.

Prue has been course co-ordinator and faculty member of the Australian Research College of Osteopathic Medicine (ARCOM), who run courses such as the Rule of the Artery program, Summer School for osteopathic students as well as Winter School and is a faculty member for the SCTF of ANZ, recently teaching on the Paediatrics Module 3.  

Last year she was an assistant to American Osteopath Dr Zina Pelkey on her Lymphatics program, who has been an inspiration in the development of this presentation.
