About the presenter:

Monique Kurdian

Monique qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Sydney in 2004. Since then she has worked across the spectrum of public and private health from emergency and acute through to
rehabilitation and community settings with stints in aged care along the way. In 2009, Monique transitioned into project management, including falls prevention, best-practice models of care, capacity
building and infrastructure project delivery for local, district and state government bodies.

In 2012 Monique designed a multidisciplinary falls prevention program to meet Australian quality standards and Healthy Living Network membership. The Stay Standing program bridges the gap between community and primary health providers to empower older people for independence. Stay Standing Train the Trainer has peak body endorsement. Monique’s current projects include the innovative My Health Indicators app.

In her spare time, Monique can be found running in Sydney’s Centennial Park with Vito the Italian Greyhound, and keeping tabs on her five children (four of whom are now adults).
