RockBlades

The RockBades course presents an alternate model for IASTM work- what we define as "Instrument Assisted Neuro Sensory Modulation" or IANSM. This draws from current thinking of the way in which fascia behaves and the influence that manual therapy has on these tissues.
Our IANSM model does not rely on traditional, at times aggressive treatment strategies using instruments, and shows how similar, if not better, results can be achieved with more gentle methods. This enhances patient safety and minimises the potential for adverse treatment effects.

Movability

This course introduces the concept of movement therapy and performance enhancement to create simple and effective home exercise programs. This course will clarify the ‘why’ behind using balls, bands, rollers, and tape to improve mobility and stability of the body using a joint-by-joint approach. By using movement assessment to determine planar dysfunction, participants will learn how to determine if the dysfunction is primarily a mobility or stability problem. Tools (balls, bands, rollers and kinesiology tape) will be used to tackle an evidence-informed, joint by joint approach to movement and functional rehabilitation.

Barral Institute - Neuromeningeal Manipulation; An Integrative Approach to Trauma (NM1)

This three day course, NM1, is a specialized course focusing on the impact of trauma and whiplash.dditionally, traumatic nerve lesions typically do not result in a recognizable, well-defined, clinical picture. Instead a broad spectrum of disturbances can be found. NM treatments change intra- and extra-neural pressure and improve sympathetic function to blood vessels due to the auto-innervation of the sympathetic ganglia and sympathetic innervation of peri-neural connective tissues, both of which are affected with treatment of fixations in the nerve sheaths.
Integrative treatment requires attention to mechanical relationships between the cranium/spine hard frame, and the dural and neural elements. NM provides approaches to address restrictions of the dural and neural components not commonly focused on with musculoskeletal symptoms.
