5th year Students Meet for Tips and Drinks

On July 9 the AOA ran a half-day Transition to Practice seminar at the Novotel on Collins in Melbourne for 5th year students of osteopathy programs at Victorian universities.

Attendees learned about the challenges and rewards of practising in the workforce, and had an opportunity to question and converse with the expert speakers:

  • Leanne Toby from Guild Insurance spoke about Risk Management in Practice
  • Osteopath Clare Gordon spoke on Lessons from experience in Practice
  • Mark Werman, AOA HR advisor, spoke about Employment Issues and Job-hunting
  • Antony Nicholas from the AOA spoke about why a strong professional body helps practitioners, and about the role of the OBA

The seminar concluded with drinks and canapés over mingling and networking.
