Osteopathy is a rapidly growing profession in Australia. The number of practitioners is relatively low at present, there are now three training courses for osteopaths in Australian universities. As the public becomes more aware of the profession and what it can offer, the demand for osteopathic services is expected to increase. As a result, osteopathy offers the prospect of a successful and satisfying career in health care. In many areas of the country there are few if any osteopaths and there is considerable scope for the profession to grow.
Entry in to the osteopathic profession requires qualifying from an accredited university program. If you are interested in training to be an osteopath check out the information in studying to be an osteopath.
