Clinical Practice Groups
In 2015, Osteopathy Australia established Clinical Practice Group (CPG) Leadership Committees in these specific areas of practice:
The CPG Leadership Committees represent a new approach to promoting the osteopathic profession and engaging with members to increase their clinical awareness, skills and competence. The committees were established to:
- Lobby and develop strategic engagement with government and other health care professionals to enable increased knowledge of and professional recognition for osteopathy
- Engage members in building and adopting support services required for comprehensive professional practice
- Assist Osteopathy Australia to become the provider of choice for professional development
- Establish core practice standards as a platform for the professional journey and career opportunities of osteopaths.
Each committee works to promote and enhance osteopathic practice within the area of clinical practice they represent.
The CPG Leadership Committees will advance the reputation of Osteopathy Australia as the peak representative body for all Australian osteopaths.
