Sonia's Journey

Juggling life as a fashion and lifestyle blogger and a business owner, Lisa is constantly on the run although Lisa has lived with significant physical limitations that she is still working to overcome.

At the age of 10, Sonia was diagnosed with scoliosis; she had a severe spinal curve. Sonia was still young and growing and the treatment at the time was wearing a back brace until she could undergo spinal surgery. For more than 5 years, Sonia wore a brace for 23 hours a day. At the age of 15, Sonia had a spinal fusion which left her with 8 rods and 16 screws fused into her thoracic spine.

During Sonia's teenage years, the back brace not only physically restricted what Sonia was able to do but it also severely impacted her mental health. Trapped lying on the couch, Sonia felt like life was passing her by. As an adult, Sonia wants to take back control of her body and her life. In order to try and treat the chronic pain she had been experiencing, Sonia decided to give osteo a go.

This is Sonia's journey.
