Osteopathy Australia employs a range of skilled and experienced staff to manage the organisation, service the members, develop better policies and lobby government for better access and funding of osteopathic healthcare. The small but dedicated staff team works hard to promote and progress osteopathy.

Antony Nicholas
Chief Executive & Company Secretary

Antony is a board director on Allied Health Professions Australia (a peak alliance of allied health professions in Australia) and The International Osteopathic Alliance (a peak, international osteopathic association).  Antony studied Biological Sciences at the Curtin University of Technology in WA, with further postgraduate studies in Education and Natural Resource Management. Antony has a diverse career background in health, health promotion, health-consumer rights, education and dispute resolution, mainly within the not-for-profit sector.

Nicholas Bradshaw
Deputy CEO

Nick holds a B.A (Hons) in Political Science (Canterbury, NZ) and a Master of Business Administration (UNE).  Much of Nick’s career has been spent in the health sector including medical college, state government and standards development. In these roles, he has developed his skills in policy analysis, project management and general management. In his spare time, he is a volunteer Secretary of a suburban cricket club.

Nick is currently taking a six-month break to travel around Australia with his family.

Simone Rota
Membership Officer

Simone has enjoyed the last 13 years working in membership, database administration and marketing roles in the not-for-profit sector. She undertook further studies during this time, gaining a Cert IV in IT and Database Administration. Before this, Simone helped manage a family business for several years, after migrating from Africa. She's committed to continuing to contribute to enhancing members’ experience at Osteopathy Australia, supporting them and their profession.

Peter Tzanis
Learning and Development

Peter has worked for 15 years at all levels of the education industry as a teacher, department head and consultant. Peter studied secondary education at the University of New South Wales and is experienced in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context. Peter has also worked on several system and training implementation projects with a diverse range of clients including the Department of Defence, University of New England, and Coles. Peter is the primary contact at Osteopathy Australia for CPD and is the project manager and lead instructional designer for the recently launched eLearning and mentoring educational platforms.

Leng Warwar

Leng has over 15 years’ experience in customer, membership services and management, in a diverse range of organisations including the NRMA, private health funds, telecommunications and hospitality, and has qualifications in management and leadership. In her previous role, Leng managed the daily operations of a contact centre and implemented innovative processes to ensure the seamless functioning of the organisation’s policies.

Peter Lalli
Senior Policy Officer - Clinical Excellence

Peter brings over 10 years of experience in policy development, social and health care policy evaluation, as well as quality improvement from advisory and project leadership roles in local, state and federal government, charitable and non-for-profit sectors. Peter holds graduate and post graduate qualifications in social and political sciences. Committed to advancing the clinical practice of osteopaths, Peter leads Osteopathy Australia's clinical governance and associated policy initiatives in consultation with members, advisory committees and external stakeholders. In tandem with the CEO and Deputy CEO, Peter forms an integral part of the organisation's policy team. 

Kylie Monro
Senior Policy and Advocacy Adviser

Kylie has extensive experience in the health sector, having worked in government departments and the not-for-profit sector, and as an independent consultant. She holds a PhD in medical anthropology and other postgraduate qualifications in international public health, anthropology and development studies. Her main areas of interest are in health policy analysis, research, evaluation and strategic planning. In her policy and advocacy role with Osteopathy Australia, Kylie is working to promote the role of osteopaths in the Australian healthcare system with a view to improving healthcare for all Australians. 

Shamona Eaves
Senior Research and Projects Officer

Shamona has over six years of research experience in various areas of anatomy and physiology. She holds a BSc (Hons) and PhD in neurophysiology from the University of Technology Sydney and has worked in a variety of fields in clinical and academic research such as mental health research, neuroscience, and children’s health. Outside of her research, Shamona also teaches undergraduate science and postgraduate medical students.

Kavita Bowry

Kavita has spent much of her career in technical and academic publishing as an editor on weekly and monthly journals and magazines, including the Veterinary Record and In Practice, for the British Veterinary Association where she worked for 14 years. More recently, she has worked for several not-for-profit organisations in broader communications roles, which involved content creation and management for digital and print publications, including website, social media, online newsletters, and external communications.
