Dizziness is a common symptom and can be present in any age group.

In the younger age group, it is often associated with concussion and whiplash-associated disorder.

In the elderly population, it is a very common complaint encountered in general practice.

The webinar will present the most common causes of dizziness including BPPV, PPPD, Menieres Disease, Vestibular Migraine, Vestibular Neuritis and Cervicogenic Dizziness, and will briefly introduce the diagnostic criteria, pathophysiology, and some assessment and treatment options.

About Rudi:

Rudi has a background and qualifications in Sports/Physiotherapy and worked in that capacity in hospitals and private practice in Germany for 15 years.

After completing his Degree in Osteopathy in Belgium, Rudi started to combine the skills and knowledge from both professions. After arriving in Australia he also completed a B.Sc. majoring in Anatomy and Neuroscience through the UNSW.

Rudi has worked in the field of Manual Medicine, for more than 38 years. He has also been a part-time lecturer, tutor and clinician working for the UNSW, UWS and SCU for 20 years. Rudi developed a passion for the field of Neuroscience and has taught those subjects amongst others, at these Universities. In his private practice, he has developed a special interest in dizziness, vertigo and concussion management and has spent considerable time and study furthering his knowledge and skills in these areas. He has also completed a ‘Certificate of Vestibular Rehabilitation’ and a ‘Concussion Management Course’. Rudi has been a popular presenter at various conferences and lots of CPD seminars over the years. He now predominantly presents seminars in relation to vertigo, dizziness and concussion.
