Feedback sought for low back pain care standard
Feedback sought for Low Back Pain Care Standard
On 20 April, we will be lodging a submission with the Australian Commission in Safety & Quality in Health Care on the Low Back Pain Care Standard.
The Commission is often referred to for sound guidance across professional boundaries. It is important that the standards reflect how you practice and the challenges of working with low back pain rather than unachievable/unrealistic ideals.
Any members who would like to have their say to inform our submission should review the fact sheet on the Commission's website.
When providing your feedback, consider the following questions:
- How well do the standards reflect evidence-informed practice?
- Are there any gaps?
- How understandable or clear are the standards?
- How applicable are the standards to private practice, sole practitioner settings, rural, regional and/or remote practices?
- What other resources or support could the Commission provide to enable adherence/compliance?
Send your feedback to Peter Lalli via email clinicalpolicy@osteopathy.org.au no later than 10 April.
