Conference 2024 FAQs

• Where and when is the conference being held?

  The conference is being held at the Sydney Central Hotel, located at 169/179 Thomas Street, Haymarket, Sydney. Inclusive of morning registrations, it will run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, 25 October and 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on Saturday, 26 October. There will also be a Welcome Reception held at the venue from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, 25 October.

• What are the different ticketing prices being offered?

  Ticketing information coming soon. 

• After tickets are purchased online, how are they sent/collected by the purchaser?

  Once purchased online, a digital ticket will automatically become available to print, copy or download. If you wish to collect tickets in person, please email info@osteopathy.org.au and this can be arranged for you.

• Is a tax invoice provided for tickets purchased?

  Your conference ticket includes the association's ABN, the words 'Tax Invoice', any GST component and the date. Thus, the ticket doubles up as a tax invoice.

• How far out from the start of the conference on 25 October 2024 can purchasers receive a full refund if they need to cancel their tickets?

  A notice period of 28 days, prior to 25 October 2024, is required for a purchaser of a conference ticket to be entitled to a full refund. The Association reserves the right to determine if any refund requests outside of the notice period will be honoured. 

• What payment methods are accepted for the purchase of conference tickets?

  Payment details coming soon. 

• Are purchased tickets transferable if I cannot attend the conference?

  Yes. However, CPD hours will be recorded against the name of the person registering in person at our registration desk on 25 and 26 October.

• Are single day tickets available if I want to attend on just one (1) of the two (2) days?

  Yes, but only for full members. Please refer to the first FAQ which relates to ticket categories. 

• If I attend the conference and also want to stay at the Sydney Central Hotel, are there discounted accommodation rates for delegates?

  Yes, a discount rate applies. You will need to call or email the Sydney Central Hotel and quote the code OSTEOOCT23 and this will get you 10% off the best available rate. Subject to room availability. The discounted rate at the Hotel for parking is $30 for day use and $45 for overnight. After you have parked, you will need to go to the Hotel reception and make them aware that you are attending the conference and you will get your parking ticket validated.

• Where can I access the conference program of events?

  Program coming soon.

• How do I find out who the speakers at the conference are?

  Speaker details coming soon. 

• What parking arrangements are available at the venue?

  The Sydney Central Hotel has a car park, which is located at 169-179 Thomas Street Haymarket. Please visit wilsonparking.com.au. There is also parking at First Parking Darling Square, entry via Zollner Circuit. This is around a 15 minute walk from the Sydney Central Hotel. Please visit www.firstparking.com.au

• What is the nearest train station to the Sydney Central Hotel?

  Central Station is the nearest train station which is within a five minute walk to the Hotel.

• What does the conference ticket entitle me to?

  Across the two days, you will have full access to the conference as well as the workshops of your choice. Additionally, light refreshments, tea/coffee, lunches and a Welcome Reception are all inclusive of the ticket price. 

• Are CPD hours being recognised by attending the conference?

  Yes. A total of 12 CPD hours will be recognised for attendance across the two days. A certificate of attendance reflecting this, will be emailed to attendees.
